For more than 20 years, our team has worked alongside South West Water to help keep vital water and wastewater services running across the South West.
While most people never see the infrastructure behind their water supply, every treatment works, pumping station and operational facility relies on a dependable electrical network to operate safely and effectively. Through our Control Operation and Maintenance Agreement (COMA) with South West Water, we are responsible for managing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure that supports these critical services across 58 sites throughout the region.

Managing the Network Behind the Running Tap
Our role goes far beyond routine maintenance. Acting as South West Water's trusted high voltage partner, we are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the network, ensuring electrical assets remain safe, reliable and available when needed.
This includes maintaining the high-voltage network itself, as well as associated infrastructure such as low-voltage circuit breakers, electrical distribution systems and the wider assets that support operational sites. By proactively managing these systems and carrying out remedial works where required, we help prevent issues before they impact operations. The team responds to approximately 80 callouts per year across the 58 operational sites, supporting the reliability and resilience of critical water and wastewater infrastructure.

Over the years, we have developed a detailed understanding of the client's assets, operational challenges and long-term objectives. For the past four years, this has included delivering the HV COMA contract, which places responsibility for the control, operation and maintenance of the network in our hands.
